I was reading on Yahoo Answers' Religion and Spirituality section and noticed that the Atheists throw this verse up in the believers' face... Why? I apparently am NOT getting the same thing from it that other people are!
I guess I figured it meant we couldn’t know our future - or complain about it! hmmm? Help please.

I personally can't make heads or tails of the Melchizedek stuff in the bible (and I have really tried) I know the LDS Mormons place a lot of stock the Melchizedek priesthood but not sure why!
I've read and re-read, prayed and re-read and still I just don't understand what this priesthood is or why it's so important?
I hate to sound so ignorant but if it's in the bible I truly want to understand it. Maybe it just isn't my time for understanding yet! Have you ever read something in the bible over and over again without "Getting" it and then one day you read it and BOOM there it is big as life - the complete understanding! That has happened to me on several occasions and I think it's because God reveals things to us about His word as we need them or when we have studied enough to fully comprehend! What say you?

I have a very dear LDS (Mormon) friend that I would like to witness to in Spirit and Truth without being judgmental or harsh.
When I've respectfully asked what they do about Revelation 22:18,19

For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
I get many different answers but the most common is - This is the only place you find it in the bible and it is referring specifically to Revelation.
What are your thoughts and can you find this command anywhere else in the bible?

I am in the throws of reading the book right now. It's a somewhat smallish book, and yet I am only on page 100 after several days. There is so much in his writing to be considered that I have to stop every few minutes and muse over it.
I'd love to hear from other people out there who have read the book. What are your thoughts? Did you like the book? If so, why? Did it change your life? How? What were your feelings as you read?
I won't say anything about it right now in case you haven’t read the book but want to - I hate a spoiler. I never even read the forward or the back cover before I start a book for fear it will give away too much.
Here is one little excerpt by Mr. Young - this will not ruin anything for you but it's a glimpse into the depth of his writing.
"...After suffering great loss... he now enjoys the wastefulness of Grace" I just find that is so descriptive and the book is filled with just such yummy bits to chew on.

1. Do you believe that someone can have salvation if they don’t
believe in the Holy Trinity? Like Jehovah’s Witnesses?

2. Throughout the bible it speaks of eternal life... When do you
believe eternity begins? At the moment you accept Christ (as
when Jesus was speaking to the woman at the well and said, when
you drink of the water that I give you – you will never thirst
again) or does eternity begin at death?
